My peony order arrived molded right before a big dinner

Half the blooms were ruined with no time to reorder. I see two paths: scramble with backup flowers and eat the loss, or call the client upfront and risk the whole job. Which way would you flip?

But honestly, what's the client usually like? Are they a super chill person who gets stuff happens, or are they really detail oriented and would flip over this? That changes everything lol. If they're the understanding type, calling them might actually build more trust for next time. If they're super strict, you might be better off making it work with what you have and just eating the cost.

Assume they'll notice either way so just be honest.

Honestly, I'd call them right now and offer a partial refund for the damaged blooms.
