Saw a report last week saying some of those ethical badges are basically fake. Makes checking the actual certs online way more important now.

Actually, that reminds me of when my cousin bought a 'fair trade' coffee brand and later found out their certification was from some shady group. I mean, they had all the logos on the bag, but when we looked it up, the website was basically just a landing page with no real info. It was called something like 'Global Ethics Alliance' but turned out to be run by one guy in a basement. Idk, it just makes you double-check everything now, even for small stuff.

At my co-op, we found seven so-called ethical brands with sketchy certs like that.
