DAE get uneasy when brands hint at what to say in reviews?

I was testing a smartwatch and the rep subtly suggested focusing on the design, not the buggy app.

Maybe it's just marketing noise we've learned to tune out. Every app now begs for a five star review, streaming services ask you to rate things after one episode. That watch rep was clumsy, but it's not some deep conspiracy. Most people either ignore the hint or see right through it anyway.

Notice how it's not just apps... go to any store and they push a loyalty card at checkout, or call a help line and get asked to stay on for a survey. Every time you buy something or call for help, they ask for more... feedback, sign-ups, ratings. They're turning simple moments into chances to grab data or a good review. After a while, you just tune it out like static... but it does make you wonder what they're really after.

That loyalty card push at Safeway changed my mind.
