The difference between my first yak launch and now is night and day, what changed me was finally learning to trust the paddle instead of fighting the current

Six weekends ago I was drifting sideways into the reeds at Lake Pleasant every other cast, now I can hold a straight line through a 15 mph wind just by feathering my strokes, has anyone else had that switch flip after like the 20th time out?

Man, once it clicks it really clicks, the paddle becomes an extension of your arm instead of a tool you're wrestling with.
