My barber's 8-word comment about lawn care actually got me

I was getting a fade last Tuesday in Toledo and mentioned I was fed up with dandelions. He said, "You're not fixing a lawn, you're feeding a neighborhood." Never thought about it that way. He meant all the bees and bugs rely on those weeds, and my perfect green patch was basically a food desert for them. Has anyone else had a random service worker change how you see a daily chore, or is it just me?
