Decided the $1.29 taco bell side of rice beats my usual $7 chipotle bowl now
I used to be all about the chipotle sofritas bowl, extra everything, every friday. But last month I watched a guy at taco bell order two sides of rice, a side of beans, and a packet of creamy jalapeno sauce for like $3 total. I figured, why not try it during a lunch rush. Dude, that combo with some fire sauce is honestly better. The ratio of sauce to rice is way more balanced and I don't have to wait in that 20 minute line. Has anyone else downgraded their usual order to something cheaper and actually liked it more?

Man, that's a total game changer once you realize you're just paying for the brand name and the fancy bowl presentation. Once you start mixing the sauces and rice yourself, you basically have the same thing but with way more control over the flavor. Honestly, it makes me wonder how many other overpriced habits I could swap out without actually losing the good part.
