TIL the $60 parking app premium tier is a total scam in downtown Austin

I signed up for that fancy parking app level that promised guaranteed spots near the convention center. Paid $60 for a 3 month trial. Last Tuesday at 6 PM, drove around 20 minutes after it said a spot was open. The spot was a handicap zone that they didn't update in the system. Then the app charged me an extra $8 "dynamic pricing fee" when I finally parked in a regular lot. Tried to get a refund, their support took 2 days to respond and said all sales final. Has anyone else gotten burned by those "premium" parking guarantees? I'm back to just paying cash at the old lot on 5th Street now.
