Skipping our evening walk made my dog's chewing habit explode
I got lazy and stopped taking my dog for his evening walk last week. He used to be calm after exercise, but now he's chewing everything in sight. I've lost two remote controls and a couch cushion to his teeth. This whole mess just shows how breaking a routine can undo months of training.

Dogs usually chew from boredom or extra energy, not forgotten training. Missing walks leaves him with built-up energy that turns destructive. Getting back to your routine should help him settle down again.

Yeah my dog turns into a furry little demon when I slack on walks too, lol. @bailey.mia is totally right about that built-up energy having nowhere to go. I learned the hard way after my own lazy week ended with a chewed-up shoe collection. It's wild how fast they go from chill to chaos machine when the routine breaks. Getting back on schedule fixed it, but man, I felt like the worst pet owner for a bit there.

My old lab shredded a couch pillow once after two skipped walks. I always thought it was just bad behavior until I saw how quick he calmed down with regular walks again. It really shows the routine matters more than I gave credit for.
