Listening to podcasts while organizing my home office sparked a new interest

I began tuning into business podcasts during my weekly tidy-up, and it transformed a tedious chore into productive time. The stories on 'How I Built This' inspired me to rethink my own side projects.

Okay, here's the thing. Tbh, I used to struggle with the same issue where I'd zone out during podcasts while cleaning. What worked for me was sticking to lighter, storytelling podcasts for chores and saving dense content for focused listening. Ngl, it takes a few tries to find the right balance, but once you do, it turns mindless tasks into learning opportunities. Silence has its place, but pairing audio with repetitive chores can actually boost creativity if you match the content to the task.

Exposes how we avoid silence at all costs, lol.

Hold on, you find 'How I Built This' stories repetitive? (no offense) Every episode I've heard is about someone's wildly specific struggle that seems impossible to replicate.

Honestly, I've never found that podcasts make chores more productive. Tbh, when I try to listen and organize, I end up missing key points from the audio or half-assing the tidying. For me, silence lets me actually think about my projects without the noise. Those business stories often feel repetitive and don't translate to real life. Ngl, dedicating separate time for learning and chores works better.
