Why does nobody talk about customers who microwave fish in the break room
Had three people do it in the last two weeks at my store in Portland. I swear the smell lingers for hours and makes the whole back area stink. I get that fish is a cheap lunch option but come on, there is a reason most workplaces ban it lol. The worst part is management won't say anything because they are scared of complaints. Anyone else deal with this at your job or is my store just unlucky?

Saw a Reddit thread about this once where someone microwaved leftover salmon and it actually set off the smoke alarm lmao. Your break room must smell like a pier.

Had the same thing with leftover tilapia once. Whole office pretended I didn't exist for an hour.

Oh man, I had the exact same thing happen in my break room with some leftover cod I tried to reheat. I ended up wrapping it in a damp paper towel and only zapping it for 30 seconds at a time, and that cut down the smell by a lot. Still got some looks from my coworkers but at least nobody had to open a window.
