TIL that pushing through a mental block on my usual route unlocked crazy endorphins
I was halfway through my loop yesterday, ready to cut it short because my mind was foggy. Instead, I focused on my footfalls and let my thoughts drift, which somehow snapped me into a clear, energetic zone. That small decision to keep going gave me a boost that lasted all evening. Seriously, if you're ever tempted to quit mid-run, pause and shift your focus, it might turn everything around.

Man, I used to be a total "listen to your body and stop" advocate. Your post makes a strong case for the power of a mental reset instead.

Disregard that mental reset nonsense for a second. Your body sends PAIN signals because something is WRONG, not just because your mind is tired. Pushing through on pure willpower can lead to serious injuries that take months to heal. I've seen too many people burnout because they ignored their physical limits for a mental game. Sometimes stopping IS the smarter, long-term play for your health.

Halfway through your loop and you pushed through a mental block by focusing on footfalls? I'm shocked that something so simple snapped you into a clear zone. Do you really get that endorphin rush every time you mentally reset, or was this a one-off miracle? My mind usually wanders to everything I'd rather be doing than running.
