Watching my dad try to debate time travel paradoxes with my niece's hologram tutor last Christmas really highlighted how casual these talks have become.

Highlighted how casual these talks have become? Debating paradoxes with a HOLOGRAM sounds pretty SERIOUS to me.

The "serious" tech is just the medium, daniel_wright29. Arguing about time travel over a hologram call feels about as formal as a coffee shop chat.

My own tech is so old I tried to explain the grandfather paradox using a busted overhead projector. Had to draw the timeline on a napkin when the transparency jammed. Pretty sure I accidentally argued for a version where you just make the projector disappear.
