Found a fake DM that looked real enough to fool my own mom
I made a screenshot of a message from my roommate saying he'd pay my $120 electric bill, just to see if anyone could tell. My mom believed it for a solid 5 minutes until she noticed the time stamp was from next Tuesday. Has anyone else made a fake that was too convincing for its own good?

Used to think those fake message generators were just a dumb joke until my cousin almost got evicted over one. His landlord saw a screenshot of a "payment sent" text and it took days to sort out. Now I get why people take these things way more serious than I did.
