That time a customer followed me to my car in the parking lot

Last Tuesday at the Olive Garden in Fresno, a lady cornered me by my driver side door because she wanted me to comp her entire $85 check over 1 burnt breadstick. Maybe it's just our location but has anyone else had customers track them down after their shift?

Honestly, is this a thing now? My friend Kate had a guy follow her to her car after a nail salon shift over a chipped gel polish. She was in her Prius trying to pull out and he was literally blocking her with his truck, yelling about a $40 refund. She ended up calling the cops from her glovebox. Scared the hell out of her for a whole week after. It's wild how customers think they own you even when you're off the clock.

Scary how some people forget you're a person the second they pay for something.

Customers think they own you even when you're off the clock" is exactly right, but it goes deeper than just retail work. I've noticed this vibe everywhere lately, people acting like their money buys them the right to be disrespectful in all kinds of situations. It feels like basic decency is optional now if someone paid for a service.
