Karen from accounting once insisted lemon juice was a toner. I just smile and say my dermatologist would kill me, which ends the conversation FAST.

Honestly, @mark_sullivan, your response is genius for shutting down such conversations. Reminds me of the time a friend insisted coconut oil could replace moisturizer for everyone, ignoring how comedogenic it can be. These well-meaning but misinformed tips can really lead to skin issues if followed blindly. I usually cite a recent study or article to back up my refusal, but invoking a dermatologist's wrath is far more succinct. It's a battle we shouldn't have to fight, but here we are.

Ugh the worst part is when they get offended you won't try their 'miracle cure'. Like sorry Brenda, I'd rather not chemical burn my face to be polite.

Accounting should stick to numbers, not skincare recommendations!
