Boss banned sticky notes after one fell behind a server rack

Last Tuesday our IT guy found a yellow sticky note stuck behind the main server, probably from 2021. Instead of just throwing it out, my manager decided sticky notes were a 'fire hazard' and banned them company wide. Now we have to email every little reminder, and our team lost a whole day logging requests into a spreadsheet because no one could leave a quick note. We got a $200 dry erase board as the 'solution', but it's mounted in the break room where nobody works. Who else has a boss that overreacted to one tiny thing and made everyone's job worse?

Ha, wow. So the dry erase board is basically the office equivalent of a participation trophy, mounted where it's just for show. I bet they'll ban dry erase markers next when someone leaves the cap off and it dries out.
