Always thought bringing a crowbar was the best way into these places, then I tried a cordless recip saw

My last three malls all had those heavy steel roll-up gates that a crowbar just bounces off of. Picked up a cheap Milwaukee Sawzall from a pawn shop for $40 and cut through a padlock bracket in under 30 seconds. Anyone else found a tool that totally changed your entry game?

Quiet tools are the real game changers... less attention drawn.

Honestly isnt that just how everything in life works though? You spend years doing something one way cuz its what everyone told you was best, then one day you try something different and realize youve been making it harder on yourself the whole time. @troythompson nailed it about quiet tools being the real game changer - same reason I swapped my angle grinder for a silent concrete saw at work last year. It's like when people spend forever hammering a nail straight when a simple speed square would've saved them ten minutes. We get so stuck in our habits that we forget to look for the easier path that's right in front of us.
