Ran into my old friend from high school at the food court before it closed
He said it was weird seeing me there since we both used to hang out at that same spot every weekend 15 years ago. Made me realize how much of our teen years were just wasted in that place, has anyone else gone back to an old mall and felt totally different about it?

Those years weren't wasted because malls were the only place we could actually go.

Used to think going back to old places was just nostalgia bait but damn you change so much in 15 years. Went to my old hometown mall last year and barely recognized it, the arcade where I spent every Friday night was a cell phone repair shop. That food court pizza place we swore was the best thing ever is literally a mattress store now. Made me realize we weren't wasting our teen years, we were just living them the only way we knew how.
1
