Rant: I picked the north wing of the dead mall over the food court, and I regret it
Two Saturdays ago I stood in the middle of the Fairview Mall in Ohio, which has been empty since 2017, and had to pick which way to walk first. The food court was closer, about 200 feet straight ahead, but the north wing had the old anchor store and I figured that would have more to look at. I went north and got maybe 15 minutes of good shots before a security truck rolled up and sat there watching me, so I had to leave. By the time I circled back around, the sun was too low and the food court was all dark glass. A guy I know who shoots these places says the food court is almost always the better call because the skylights still work in most of them. Next time I'm going straight for the tables. Has anyone else had better luck with one section of a mall over another?
