That maintenance guy at the old Regency Mall was right about mold

Back in 2019, I was exploring the Regency Mall outside Toledo and ran into the night watchman. He told me to be careful in the food court area because the roof had been leaking for 4 years straight. I shrugged it off, figured he was just trying to spook me. Well, last month I went back with a better flashlight and saw the damage firsthand. The ceiling tiles near the old Sbarro are completely black with mold, and the floor tiles are bubbling up from water damage. He even showed me photos he took in 2017 that looked exactly the same. Has anyone else had a security guard or maintenance person give you advice that you wish you had listened to sooner?

Try to picture the look on my face when I realized I'd been paying for a subscription I'd used maybe twice since 2019. That's like buying a gym membership for four years but only going in to complain about the parking lot. My bank statements are basically a sad memorial to my lack of attention span.
