Unpopular opinion: the Lloyd Center in Portland was way better to explore before they started fixing it up
I went back to the Lloyd Center last weekend for the first time in about 3 years and honestly the 2021 trip was a totally different experience. Back then you could walk the whole upper level past the old Sears and not see a single other person, now there are security carts every 20 feet and half the escalators actually run. I know some folks like the cleaned up version, but for me the peeling paint and dark food court were the whole point. Has anyone else noticed a mall getting less fun to explore once they start patching it up?
