Used to think abandoned malls were boring until I explored the old mall in Akron last month

I walked through that empty place near downtown Akron three weeks ago and saw the old arcade machines still plugged in with all the neon signs flickering. Has anyone else found a spot that totally flipped your opinion on these places?

The old arcade machines in that Akron spot still had screensavers running when I went through, which was somehow more creepy than if they were just off. I was so focused on trying not to trip over a random pizza shop counter that I walked face-first into a low-hanging exit sign. Definitely earned a bump on the forehead for that one, and it wasn't even a cool escape room type thing. Nice to know I'm not alone in finding new ways to embarrass myself in these places though.
