Went back to the old Northgate Mall with better shoes and a plan

First time I explored that place I wore sneakers with no grip and nearly ate it on a wet escalator by the food court. Now I bring a small flashlight and a pry bar, and I actually check the ceiling tiles before walking under them. Has anyone else found that prepping before you go makes the whole trip less stressful?

Heard a guy on a podcast talk about urbex safety and he said the same thing, most accidents happen because people rush in without looking up or down. Checking ceiling tiles is smart, those places are falling apart way faster than people realize. The pry bar is a good call too, some of those doors swing shut and lock behind you, nobody wants to be stuck in a dead mall overnight. Also learned from that same guy to bring a bandana or dust mask, that old insulation and mold in places like that will mess up your lungs quick. Sounds like you got the right mindset now, way less sketchy when you walk in with a plan instead of just winging it.
