Appreciation post: the free AI tool that saved my presentation in Dallas
I was stuck in a hotel room in Dallas last Tuesday, 20 minutes before a big client pitch, and my slides were a mess of inconsistent fonts and bad images. I threw the text into Canva's AI design generator on a whim, and it formatted everything into a clean deck in under 5 minutes. Has anyone else had an AI tool bail them out at the worst possible time?

Man, that hotel room scramble is the WORST. I had a similar thing happen at a conference in Chicago last fall. My slides had these weird, stretched-out graphs that looked like they were melting. I just copy-pasted the raw data into one of those AI chart makers and it gave me like 5 clean options in a minute. I picked a simple bar chart, dropped it in, and it saved me from looking like an absolute amateur in front of the whole room. The formatting tools are hit or miss sometimes but for a quick fix like that, they're a lifesaver.

That's the smart play right there @the_rowan. Instead of fighting with some jacked up chart for an hour, you just fed the raw numbers into a tool and let it sort the mess out. Same thing happened to me once with a graph that had the X and Y axes swapped and all the labels smushed together. Tried fixing it manually for way too long before some guy next to me just said "dump it in the AI thing" and boom, clean as a whistle. People get so hung up on doing everything themselves in the moment, but when the clock is ticking, handing that grunt work to a machine is just common sense. Simple bar chart, no frills, and you look like you know what you're doing.

Dumped a mess of sales numbers into one of those tools last month, 10 minutes before a weekly review. Came out looking like I actually knew what I was doing with a clean chart. Those things are a GODSEND when you're in a jam.
