Client told me my AI chatbot sounded "too robotic" and I completely changed how I train models now

Had a client last month say my chatbot responses were stiff and unnatural. They said it felt like reading a manual. So I switched from using standard prompt templates to feeding the model actual conversation transcripts with typos, filler words, and broken sentences. The difference is night and day - responses are way more human now. But some people argue that makes the AI less accurate or professional. Which side do you lean toward? Do you prioritize natural speech or precise answers?

my cousin trains customer service bots and she started feeding hers transcripts from drunk people at 3am. sounds insane but the bot got way better at handling confused callers. sometimes real messy speech works better than polished stuff

Yeah that totally tracks with something I read about how AI picks up on context better when it sees a wider range of human speech patterns. @mila_perry13 your cousin's onto something, messy real talk beats scripted stuff.
