Had a guy at a tech meetup tell me my AI chatbot was basically just a fancy autocomplete

He said it after I spent 6 months training it on niche medical data, and honestly he had a point about how it handles edge cases. Has anyone else had their work dismissed like that and had to step back and actually agree?

Oh man, I heard someone compare them to autocorrect on steroids once.

Yeah that's actually a pretty spot on way to put it now that I think about it. I used to be way more skeptical of them but that kinda shifted my view.

Is it really that bad though? Autocomplete doesn't hold a conversation lol.
