Hot take: My CRM automation broke during a client meeting yesterday
I was demoing my new automated email sequence to a client at a coffee shop downtown when it just... stopped working. The triggers failed to fire after I sent a test lead through the pipeline. It was around 2pm and I had to manually explain each step while refreshing the dashboard in front of them. Turns out the API integration with my calendar app had a silent update overnight. Has anyone else dealt with automation tools breaking right when you need to prove they work?

Read some article last week that said over 60% of CRM systems have at least one failed integration update every quarter, so basically this is super common. It's wild how these silent updates always happen right before a big demo too. I had a similar moment where Zapier just stopped connecting my forms to my email list overnight and I only found out during a client walkthrough the next morning. The worst part is explaining it without sounding like you dont know what youre doing. Felt like such a rookie but honestly its just the reality of relying on too many connected tools lol.

Lmao I feel this so hard. Had almost the exact same thing happen last month when I was trying to show off my automated follow-up system to a potential partner. The whole thing just froze up while I was mid-sentence about how smooth it was. I ended up having to pull out my phone and walk them through it manually off a spreadsheet. Its like these tools know when you need them most and decide to take a nap.

I swear these tools have a sixth sense for when you're trying to look professional.
