I called AI code reviewers a gimmick until one caught a bug that would've cost my team $12k
Honestly I rolled my eyes when my lead pushed CodeRabbit on our repo back in March. Then it flagged a race condition in our payment retry logic that two senior devs and I had all missed during review. That bug would've double-charged a client for every failed Stripe call, and we ship about 400 of those a week. Ngl I still think most AI tools are overhyped, but has anyone else had one catch something that actually saved a real dollar amount?
