I used an AI to write a short story for a contest and it won third place.

I gave it a prompt about a robot gardener in Seattle and the plot it came up with was way more creative than my own ideas. The judges didn't even know AI was involved, which feels a bit like cheating. Is using AI for creative writing just a new tool, or is it crossing a line?

Would you have felt better about it if you told the judges? I used to think AI was just a tool, like a fancy thesaurus, but your story winning a contest changes things for me. It wasn't just helping you type, it came up with the winning idea itself, and that feels like a different line got crossed.
