Rant: I paid $400 for an AI voice tool for my podcast and went back to my own voice in 3 weeks
Everyone in my podcast group kept pushing AI voice cleanup tools so I dropped $400 on a yearly plan back in March. First two episodes sounded clean but listeners in my Discord started saying I sounded like a GPS giving directions. I ran one raw recording side by side with the AI version at my kitchen table in Austin and the flat one was the AI. Cancelled it, ate the $400, and my download numbers went up the next month. Anyone here actually stuck with one of these paid AI audio tools past the first month, or did you bail like me?
