Three months apart same prompt, completely different results. What changed?
I ran the same image prompt in Midjourney back in January and got a decent but kinda cartoony result. Ran it again last week and it came out photorealistic with lighting that actually made sense. That's a huge jump in 90 days. Is this just better training data rolling out or did they tweak the underlying model architecture? I'm leaning toward a mix of both but the speed of improvement is wild to me. Has anyone else noticed their outputs leveling up without changing their prompts?

Has anyone else noticed their stuff getting way better without changing a thing? I swear my prompts from last fall look like garbage compared to what comes out now. It's not just Midjourney either, I see it in Stable Diffusion too. The speed of these improvements is honestly blowing my mind a little.

April last year I ran the exact same prompt three times and got a hand with eight fingers every single time. Now it mostly looks like a normal hand but the background turns into soup half the shots. Feels more like they're smoothing over the obvious fails and calling it improvement.
