TIL I was using ChatGPT completely wrong for 6 months (and a 5 year old set me straight)

I was using AI tools like a search engine, you know? Just asking questions and getting mad when it gave me weird answers. Then my kid asked me why I don't just talk to it like I talk to him. So I started telling it what I'm trying to do, like "I need to plan a birthday party for 8 kids under 10 with a budget of $100" instead of "best party ideas." Complete game changer. Has anyone else had a moment where you realized you were fighting the tool instead of working with it?

That part about "talk to it like I talk to him" really hit home. Kids see stuff plain and simple, we overcomplicate everything.

You ever notice how adults are the ones who make everything complicated? Kids just say what they see, no filter. My nephew once told my sister her "mad face" looked like a bulldog. Brutally honest but also... true. Adults spend years unlearning that kind of straight talk.

Kids are definitely the truth tellers we never asked for. @ray189 you're spot on, we spend way too much time wrapping things up in nice little packages instead of just calling it like we see it.
