Trained an AI model on my dad's old fishing logs and it predicted where the bass would be this spring

Did you try running the model against any of your dad's old predictions from past years to see how accurate it actually is? Because it's one thing for the AI to guess based on the logs, but if those logs don't account for changes in water temp or baitfish patterns from year to year, you might just be getting a fancy version of random chance. I've messed around with predictive models for deer movement before and found they break down pretty fast once you factor in weather anomalies or pressure from other fishermen. Feels like the real test would be seeing if it beats a seasoned local guide's gut feeling on the same spots.

Oh absolutely, I spent last weekend feeding my dad's 2018 bass logs into this thing and it predicted he'd catch a whopper at the exact spot where he got skunked for three hours. So it's either a time machine or just really good at guessing wrong, you know?

Saw a study that said these models are only 60% accurate past two years.
