Watching my kid's school roll out AI tutors left me uneasy

My son's school just started using AI to change homework for each student. I feel this makes learning too easy and stops kids from figuring things out on their own. What's your take on this trend?

Actually, a good AI tutor system isn't supposed to just give answers. The point is to adjust the difficulty so each kid gets problems they can handle, which keeps them from getting too frustrated or too bored. It's more about personalizing the practice than doing the thinking for them. From what I've seen, it still requires the student to put in the effort and learn the concepts.

My cousin's kid in Florida started using an AI math tutor last year, and I was totally against it at first. But after seeing how it gives him harder problems when he gets something right, and breaks it down step by step when he struggles, I get it now. It doesn't do the work for him, it just meets him where he's at. That kind of adjustment is what a good teacher would do if they had unlimited time.

Wait, do you think it's just making it easier for them? From what I've read, the good ones are designed to push kids when they're doing well, not just hand them the answers. It's more like a custom workout plan for their brain.
