Can we talk about how my cousin got me to watch a show just by describing the intro?

I was over at my cousin's place last Sunday and he put on Cyberpunk Edgerunners. I told him I wasn't into anime cuz I figured it was all kids stuff. He just said watch the first 40 seconds of the intro and tell me that doesn't hit. So I sat through it and the music and the flashing colors got me. That one moment made me realize I was writing off entire genres based on bad assumptions. Ended up binging the whole series in two days. Has anyone else had a single scene or detail pull them into a show they thought they'd hate?

Gotta disagree with @the_henry though, I don't think it flipped my whole view on anime or anything. It's just a dope intro, doesn't mean I'm gonna suddenly dig every show in the genre.

Man that intro really is something else, the way the music kicks in with those neon visuals totally sets the tone before anything even happens. It's funny how one good hook can completely flip your opinion on a whole type of show, I had a similar thing happen with the first fight scene in One Punch Man. Once you see what a creator is capable of in just a few seconds, it makes you wonder what else you've been missing out on.
