Dub over sub for Attack on Titan, no contest

I know everyone raves about the Japanese voice actors, but the English cast in AoT brings way more raw emotion to scenes like Eren's scream or Levi's calm fury. Has anyone else noticed the subtitles miss half the tone that the dub delivers?

Nah, the sub hits way harder for me, feel like the screams cut deeper without the English filter.

Read somewhere that the original Japanese voice director coached them to sound raw and broken. English dubs clean that up too much. Makes the terror feel more real when you can't understand every word. That raw emotion cuts through language barriers. Sub version stays true to the original vision. Dub feels like sanitized horror to me.
