It took me 30 years to realize I was holding my reusable grocery bags backwards the whole time

I was unloading my bags at the register last week when the cashier, a young guy maybe 19, gently turned one around so the handles faced outward and said "they hang better on your shoulder this way," and I felt like an absolute fool for never noticing the little fabric loop was designed for carrying, not stuffing.

Bet that cashier went home that night feeling like a true hero" - honestly, they probably did, but I'd argue the real hero move would have been letting you figure it out on your own (some lessons hit harder when you discover them yourself).

That little fabric loop has been silently judging us all for decades and we didn't even know it. Bet that cashier went home that night feeling like a true hero for saving another soul from the backwards bag struggle. Next thing you know they'll tell me I've been putting my fridge magnets on the wrong side too.
