Jumped on the Dungeon Meshi bandwagon late and I was so wrong to sleep on it

I kept seeing posts about eating monsters and thought it was just a dumb gimmick show, but after 3 episodes I was completely hooked on the world-building and character dynamics. Has anyone else had a show they dismissed that totally flipped their expectations?

oh have you seen that one twitter thread about how Laios is basically a cat in human form? it made me rethink the whole food chain dynamic in the show.
