Just realized I was wrong about subbed vs dubbed anime
For years I was a stubborn sub-only person... thought dubs ruined the original voice acting. But last week I was rewatching Attack on Titan season 2 while folding laundry and couldn't keep up with subtitles. So I switched to the dub for that episode and actually... it was really good? The voice actors matched the emotion perfectly. Now I'm wondering if I've missed out on other great dubs this whole time. Anyone else have a show where the dub surprised you?

Took me 10 years and a pile of laundry to realize I was just being a snob about something I never actually tried.

Read somewhere that most people form strong opinions on things they've never actually done. Wild how that works. Good on you for catching it.

Had a friend who swore up and down she'd never eat sushi because it was raw fish and that's gross. Took a work happy hour where she got stuck with the menu and finally tried a California roll. Now she's the one dragging everyone to the hole-in-the-wall spots with the best spicy tuna.
