Paid $45 for a screener site that just linked me to a free anime site

Last month I got sick of skipping between 3 streaming services to find shows and saw an ad for this anime aggregator site. $45 for a year, said it had everything. Turns out it was just scraping episodes from a free site I already used. The player was worse, ads were worse, and the subtitles were delayed by like 2 seconds. Cancelled after 3 days, but the 45 bucks is gone. Anyone else paid for a similar bait and switch service, or is there actually a decent aggregator out there that's worth the cash?
