The $70 fancier art markers I bought were a total flop

I dropped $70 on those premium alcohol markers everyone swears by for my current project, but my old $12 set from the discount store still blends better and doesn't bleed through my sketchbook pages. The expensive ones dried out after two weeks of normal use, and I'm honestly more frustrated than when my last shipment of manga got delayed. Has anyone else had big brand markers let them down like this, or did I just grab a bad batch?
