The whole vibe of the JJK fandom changed after the Shibuya arc

I mean, for like a year before it aired, the talk was all about cool fights and power scaling. Now, after Shibuya, every single thread is just people arguing about grief and trauma. It went from 'who would win' to deep dives on character pain in maybe six months. The cause was obviously the show actually adapting that brutal story turn. Has anyone else noticed their favorite discussion spaces getting way more serious?

Right? Went from ranking Domain Expansions to group therapy real fast. My feed is just people crying over fictional teenagers now, the whiplash is insane.

Seen this happen with other shows too. A story gets real and the fan talk follows. It's like when a big event hits your friend group. The silly chat stops and everyone gets heavy for a while. The media we love shapes how we talk to each other. Light stories get light talk, hard stories make us dig deeper.

Yeah it's wild. Honestly I just mute the heavy tags for a week or two, let people get it out. The silly stuff always comes back.
