Bought a $180 leak detector off a retiring tech in Sacramento, best money I ever spent
A guy retiring out of Sacramento sold me his old leak detector for $180 when I was still spraying soapy water on every coil and waiting around. Last week it found a pinhole in a fridge line in about 2 minutes that would have taken me an hour with bubbles, and the customer tipped me $40 on top of the repair. Any of you running a leak detector you actually trust, or did I just get lucky with this one?
Was it an Inficon? Those old ones from retired techs are usually the good stuff. For $180 if it sniffs out a pinhole in 2 minutes you got a deal, not luck.
