Dryer vent cleaning hack saved me 3 hours this Saturday

I was dreading cleaning out this lady's dryer vent in Brookline yesterday. She said it was taking 2 cycles to dry a load so I knew it was bad. I tried my usual leaf blower trick from the outside but that barely moved anything. Then I remembered reading about using a garden hose with a jet nozzle from the inside to push all the lint out. Worked like a charm, cleared a massive clog in maybe 20 minutes. Has anyone else tried water over air for stubborn lint blockages?

Water works fast but you really gotta run the dryer on high heat for an hour after to dry it out fully.

Water blast trick works. Cleared mine in fifteen minutes flat.

Oh wow that's actually kind of genius with the water. But man I'd be worried about mold growing inside the vent afterwards if it doesn't dry out completely before you run the dryer again.
