Found out my own gauge was lying after 2 years

I was swapping out a refrigerator compressor in OKC and the pressure readings kept telling me the system was fine, but it clearly wasn't cooling. Turns out my manifold gauge set was off by about 12 psi on the low side, probably from all the drops it took out of the van. I only caught it because I borrowed a buddy's digital unit to double check. How often do you guys calibrate or replace your gauges, and do you trust analog ones at all anymore?

12 psi is nothing next to a cracked manifold seal letting dye into the lines.
