Just realized I was wrong about those cheap multimeter leads

I swapped my old frayed ones for a $25 set of silicone insulated leads last month, and the difference in getting a solid reading on a flickering control board is night and day. Anyone else have a small tool upgrade that made a huge difference?

Lol, I've been that guy with the sketchy leads.

Ever think about how much time we waste just trying to get a probe to stay put? I had a board where the test points were tiny, and my old stiff leads kept slipping off. Getting the flexible silicone ones meant I could actually bend the tip right onto the point and hold it there with one hand. It turned a ten minute fight into a ten second check. That's the real upgrade, not just the reading but not having to wrestle the tool.

Totally get that, man. I started using a magnetic wristband to hold screws and bits, and it's a game changer when you're up on a ladder. @olivia_bailey knows the struggle of dropping a tiny screw into a vent, lol. No more fishing around, just stick it to your arm.
