Took me 4 hours to find a loose neutral on a dryer vent, not the dryer itself
A customer in Tucson called me out for a dryer that kept shutting off mid cycle, and I ran through the whole machine, heating element, thermal fuse, even swapped the control board, before I thought to check the vent. Turns out a bird nest had packed the outside hood so tight the motor was tripping on thermal overload, and the whole thing took me 4 hours when it should have been 20 minutes. How do you all handle that first five minutes on a call when the obvious answer is hiding in plain sight?
