Unpopular opinion: I stopped using a torque wrench on dryer drums and just go by feel now

After stripping the bolt on a Samsung dryer in Denver last summer with a torque wrench set to spec, I tried a different approach and just snugged the five screws by hand with a 1/4 inch ratchet, and that drum hasn't budged in over 60 service calls since then, so has anyone else found torque specs just cause more headaches than they solve?

Same here, I switched to hand tightening those dryer drum screws years ago and never looked back. Torque specs on small fasteners like that just strip out the plastic every time.

Broke my wrist on a Whirlpool last week 'cause I forgot my torque wrench at home, so hand tight is my new religion.
