Bought a $6 magnetic tray after a guy at the parts counter in Reno said something that stuck with me
Last week I was picking up a water pump in Reno and the guy behind the counter pointed at my bolt pile on the floor and said he quit counting dropped bolts years ago because he just bought a tray instead. He said losing a 10mm costs more in time than the tray costs in money. I laughed it off, then spent 20 minutes fishing a bolt out of a gravel driveway on a Silverado the next day. Went back and got the tray for $6 and now I'm wondering why I waited so long. What small cheap thing do you keep in your box that saves you real time?
