Just spent 6 hours on a 'simple' coolant leak that was a cracked heater core pipe under the intake
It was buried so deep I had to pull the whole upper manifold just to see it. Anyone else run into this on the newer Ford Ecoboost 2.0s?

That "buried so deep" design feels like they're punishing DIYers on purpose.

Torres.sage might be onto something with the punishment theory. My last project car had a starter bolted directly behind a crossmember, which felt like a personal insult. Some engineers just really hate seeing us with free time.
